International Board
A dream that I dream alone is but only a dream. But a dream that we dream together is reality.
- Raul Seixas
I have had many wonderful people guiding me over the past five years, while on my journey of learning which has brought me now to this point in time. The next stage setting up the International Board for the development of The Promise Club.
I have gathered together a few special friends. Each chosen for very different reasons. But all have lit my path at some stage and shown they have an important role to play in the sucess of The Promise Club - together we can make it a better world for Caitlin and the children of the world by 2015. I look forward to having their support and continued guidence and will enjoy their company as together A coat of love we paint. Welcome to you all.
International Board

Patron Caitlin and Founder Granma Kerry
Caitlin the inspiration behind the Promise Club was (four not five) when this picture was taken early in 2005. As I looked to find, which photo I would use for her photo as Patron and then also what photo I would use for my own. I could not go past this one, it is filled with so much love, joy, creativity, imagination, peace, and simple pleasures and shared fun - just what The Promise Club is all about

Joaquín Leguia Peru
While I have not known Joaquin the founder of
ANIA - Asociaction Para La Ninez Y Su Ambiente for very long. We both knew very quickly, that Dana a visonary media producer from Australia who introduced us - again via the Internet knew exactly what she was doing. It was while throwing around some ideas with Joaquin that the lighting bolt struck and lit up the path which has led us both now to The Promise Club. A few months ago Joaquin arranged for the very special second promise from Rosa, Angelita´s aunt. A very important promise as it's the next one to be made after my own. Written at the time in Spanish, which I didn't understand. I asked Joaquin to not translate it straight away, but to wait until I finshed off something I had just started that needed my full attention. I sensed even back then, how important this promise would be - I had no idea I would just a couple of months later have my answers, sometimes you have to take a few steps backwards to take a huge leap forward. I moved back down south from the Far North of Queensland, where I had thought I would set up. I am now look forward to receiving a promise from Joaquin himself - as I know it will be very special indeed and that Peru will always hold a very special place in my heart. When he makes statements like this "If we succeed our children will grow and carry our communities toward a sustained well-being that will allow us to live in an environment where productive activities are integrated into responsible management of natural resources, and where all living species are respected"

Ada Aharoni Israel
Ada and I have known each other for a few years now not in person, simply by admiring what each has been trying to achieve for peace and a better world in very different parts of the world. We have a lot in common, peace, poetry, Australia (somewhere Ada has already been) Israel - somewhere I have not been yet, but do already have a great connection in the form of Ofir Nafkar a very talented singer song writer who composed the beautiful music for the One Mind One Voice Movie
I am very honoured to have Ada on this Internation Board as her work for Peace which including founding in 1999, IFLAC PAVE PEACE: The International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace. I am pleased to say I am now the Australian Ambassador of. Ada had written Many book and peace poetry. Ada has this year been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. I look forward to many wonderful times ahead which will give us a chance to meet and share a mango or two- something else we have in common.

Jeremy Seligson Korea
Jeremy, again it had been a few years now we have communicated via the Internet. Jeremy is the founder of a wonderful peace project called Peace Train. We have talked many times about doing some projects together, but as yet the timing had not been right. So what better way to work on some projects then through The Promise Club. Among his many talents Jeremy is also the author of Oriental Birth Dreams (Hollym 1988) and Queen Jin's Handbook of Pregnancy (North Atlantic Books 2001) both I find fascinating, the fact that they have been written by an American Professor living and working in Korea. I look forward to reading them - I hope they are in England :-)

Harold Becker USA
Harold W. Becker is the author of Internal Power: Seven Doorways to Self Discovery, Unconditional Love - Freeing the Angel Within, and Unconditional Love Is.... He holds an MBA from the University of Tampa and since 1990 has devoted his energy to raising the awareness of humanity through his consulting company, Internal Insights. In 2000 he founded and is President of the nonprofit, The Love Foundation, with the vision of "inspiring people to love unconditionally." He also founded Global Love Day for May 1st each year. I sensed with Harold and this project of his, that we can expand on his Global Love Day and come up with a Global Children's Festival, one of my visions we have spoken about.
Harold shares his powerful understanding about life through books, PBS television specials, workshops and living his own high ideals.
I can think of nothing that is closer to my heart then this. So I look forward to him picking up a brush and together with the others international board members when - A coat of love we paint.

Peter Okilo Isle of Man
I am waiting for a Bio from Peter's who is the founder of the amazing soon to be launched The People's World. This is one very special guy. I am pleased to say back in 2002 through Deepak Chopra, Dan Spinner (who headed Deepak Chopra's foundation at the time) asked Peter to phone me to see where I could fit in the Alliance for th New Humanity they were all working on at the time. Peter is among other things an IT Guru who for the past six years has worked on The Peoples World - something that will take the IT world by storm.
We have become good friends since that time watching the twists and turns each has taken to get to our desination. I will say no more and leave that for Peter himself to tell you about a bit later on. I am as delighted and honoured as he said he was - to be finally working together throught The Promise Club and The Peoples World - they even sound like they belong together. What I know about Peter is like me he is an actionist - someone who doesn't give up on their visions, even when its tough going.

Jean Illingworth Australia
Jean has a very special spot in my heart, As principal of the amazing Djarragun Indigenous Colege at Gordonvale in Far North Quensland. Back in 2002 when on the 12th of Febuary I came up with an idea for a project called HOPE, not knowing Jean I rang to see if Djarragun would like to be the first school involved. "Yes "was her answer and a few days later I took the handprints of all students at the College. Since then we have become very dear friends as we both work to make it a better world for all children. Her input when we start linking schools around the world will be very valuable indeed. No where do I feel more comfortable then when I am sitting in her office, or being on the grounds of Djarragun College. Children's futures are in good hands when people like Jean are involved.
 Dr Peggy Huang
Taiwan
Dr. Peggy Huang is the founder of Joy Children's Language Center, Joy Publishing Company, Joy American School, Joy Children's Cultural and Educational Foundation, and the Joy English Drama Club in Taiwan. She received the First Model Teacher Award for Extension Education from Taiwan's president, Chen Shui-bian. Various Joy publications (Dr. Joy's English Dictionary and storybook series Jump for Joy) were chosen and recommended as excellent English learning resources for children in Taiwan. In addition to her endless effort in children's education in the past twenty-five years, she also teaches at institutions of
higher learning in Taiwan.
In 2003 as guest of the Joy Foundation, I took the One Mind One Voice HOPE project to Taiwan, where I was treated like royality. This was the first time I heard children reciting my One Mind One Voice poem, this was so beautifil and moving that it reduced me to Tears of Joy! Then on the 30th August,a day that will live in my memory forever, a day filled with so much JOY and Taiwan HOPE.
for the children of the world. It was over the past few months, remembering this special day, helped me realise my path was and is The Promise Club and like the day in Taiwan - getting othes to also make a promise to the children of the world is the way for me to journey - thank you Peggy and everyone at the Joy Foundation....I so look forward to visiting you again.

Ms. Carmen T. Everall
Canada
Carmen T. Everall is CEO of Global Peace Productions, Inc.
GPPI was established as the result of her encounter with terrorism in Bali, Indonesia in 2002. She is the Executive Producer for the documentary film "One Voice at a Time".
Carmen is one of the founding committee members of the First Annual Vancouver, British Columbia Peace Education Conference held at Simon Fraser University and the University of British Columbia in 2004; a member of "Co-development Canada - building partnerships for global justice" and a member of the British Columbia Women in Film. She coined the term "Global Peace Actionists" and developed the G.P.A. Code inviting others to join her in her vision of transitioning from an armchair theorist to a person motivated into action to co-create Global Peace.
Carmen I am happy to say, I was introduced to in Puerto Rico in December 2003, when we both attended the launch of the Alliance for the New Humanity. Then in December 2004, Carmen came to Australia to film me as part of a documentry she is making called "One Voice at a time". We knew then that we would be working together, I
just didn't know it was The Promise Club back then. I knew back then that Carmen's heart is in the right place and she will do some wonderful projects for children in the near future. What better way then with The Promise Club.
There is still one another member to be added to the International Board early 2006. This will complete the most amazing board anyone could ask for and together we will make a difference for the children of the world. To the board members I say welcome and thank you for you support to date and in the future.
