One Mind One Voice

First Step

28th January 2006

Oh you are here! and I haven't started yet.

Well that's not true, I do already know a few things about the book. Like the cover will be a photo taken the day I start the wailing on the 8th March 2006 at Mrs Macquaries Chair.

A photo will be taken from the same angle as the logo I created for The Wailing. In shadow so you really can't tell really who the person is or where the person might have come from. No faith, no race, no hate.....It isn't important where or who it represents, it is about children dying from our inhumanity and the pain of lossing a child only a mother can truely understand that will draws us all together.

I do know that on the cover, will be this saying by Samyutta- Nikaya 11.28

This being, that becomes.
From the arising of this, that arises.
This not being, that does not become.
From the ceasing of this, that ceases.

A saying I have had tucked away for years but only decided to use it on the 30th November 2006, when I started The Promise Club.

Like the saying, everything we do has an affect on something else, we may never ever know some of those affects. What we must all try to do is make sure we are doing things that have positive affects, not negative affects.

This is not easy as we all make mistakes, I know I have made plenty and I am sure you all have as well.

So I guess I have just taken the first step to writing this book after all. Where it goes from here and how it developes, Like you I'm yet to discover how it will unfolds.... that's the magic of it...

I can't even tell you when to come back to read some more as like you again, I don't know when I will write some more, it will happen when my soul tells me too. This book is like the first book I wrote called Old unfit and Unemployed - "that's not gonna stop me changing the world" - "now what's your excuse?" You will find very quickly that these two book have something in common, well lots in fact they are connected by The Wailing. So I want to start this book by mentioning the same person that inspired me to write the first one. Noah Salameh from The Center for Conflict Resolution & Reconciliation. Bethlehem, Palestine it was from an email from Noah, from this being...that becomes and things unfolded and I was inspired to write The Wailing poem in September 2004.

This book will be dedicated to all the Mothers who are right at this moment - wailing the loss of their child from our inhumanity......
